Art Show, Prelude Art Fair, Spitalfields, London 10th-16th December

Just a quick reminder about the Prelude Art Events in Market Street, Spitalfields, London. I’m exhibiting some of my latest work (http://www.artwithsoul.co.uk/artwork/celestialbodies) whilst rubbing shoulders with some other fine artists.

All going well, it will be a hustly-bustly lively atmosphere with lots of lovely people to share something with about my art.

Full details of the location and how to get there can be found at:

Royal Bank Of Scotland: Understanding individual impact through artwork

“Is this a nice to, or a must do?”

This was one of the first questions I explored when putting a proposal together for RBS for a Transformational Creativity session. Transformational Creativity involves taking a number of delegates through a visualisation process, then they create an oil on canvas piece to express something of the inner self.

Karren Brady launches Art With Soul exhibition

Karren Brady

I have recently had the pleasure of painting Karren Bradys inner portrait. Karren Brady is something of an icon in the West Midlands, having been managing director of BCFC for over 13 years.

Personally, its been a tough year for Karren, after having suffered an brain aneurism, she has recovered well, through what has been an extremely challenging time.

Within the short period of time that we had together, it was evident that Karrens “toughened” business exterior guarded a warm heart. She expressed a great love for her children which she wanted depicted as shooting stars in the piece. For her, her greatest sense of peace comes from being in an English country garden.

Her recent experiences have set her thinking about the possibilities of the afterlife.

My exhibition was held at St Pauls Gallery in Birmingham. It was a fantastic evening, and great to see so many people there! (if you came, then thanks ever so much! If not, then, not to worry, there will be other opportunities!

Here are some piccies, including the sketch for Karrens piece. It would be great to hear your thoughts!
