Soul expression is knowing who you really are.
Its knowing its ok to be powerful.
Its knowing creativity is power.
Consider a work of art for a moment:
Colour is light.
It is a universal language.
It is energy, perceived and interpreted by the mind.
The colours we see operate at a specific wavelength. Wavelength could also be termed “vibration”.
There are simple psychological consequences of contemplating certain colours. Largely, these depend on the infinitely varied, unique personality makeup of the individual.
Some general observations can be made.
Red energises and motivates. It makes you want to act. In nature, red is the language of danger. It is physical.
Green harmonises and brings a sense of balance. It nurtures and relaxes. It is in the middle of the spectrum, so it is easy on the eye. In nature it is the colour of abundant, thriving life.
Yellow is the colour of emotion. It energises and invigorates. It uplifts. In nature, it is the colour of sunlight.
Blue helps focus and concentrate the mind. It’s the easiest wavelength to contemplate. In nature, a blue sky represents happiness to us! Is the mind
Brown is stabilising and earthing. It is deeply reassuring and safe.
Purple represents inner harmony, in the same way that green represents outer harmony. It is connected to the divine, and to that which is royal.
We have each grown up with colour surrounding us. As our minds have developed, we have learned to associate certain colours with certain moods, feelings and even beliefs. We instinctively now which colours we respond to, and which we need less of in our lives.
When we choose a colour, we are choosing to express ourselves in some way.
(Understanding our personal palette can be a hugely beneficial experience, and something that Angela Wright, the worlds leading colour Psychologist can help you with. www.colour-affects.co.uk )
Subtle Energies
Now consider this:
Prof. Elisha Gray, an eminent scientist, says in his little book, "The Miracles of Nature":
"There is much food for speculation in the thought that there exist sound-waves that no human ear can hear, and color-waves of light that no eye can see. The long, dark, soundless space between 40,000 and 400,000,000,000,000 vibrations per second, and the infinity of range beyond 700,000,000,000,000 vibrations per second, where light ceases, in the universe of motion, makes it possible to indulge in speculation."
Could it be possible, that beyond all of these wavelengths that we so readily receive and respond to, there are far more subtle energies at work?
What are these energies? What would be the benefits of understanding and harnessing these subtle energies be?
It is here that we begin to enter the realm of Soul. What does your Soul look like? Who are you really? What are you truly capable of expressing?
What urges or desires have you been suppressing because you don’t believe you have the energy?
It is ok to be powerful
To know who you really are means that you accept the fullness of your magnificence.
You accept that you have power.
You accept that it is ok to be powerful.
As we use our power in harmonising ways, we begin to see a deeper expression of peace and harmony across the face of our outer world.
If we suppress our power, if we suppress our Soul Expression, this power manifests itself in undesirable, uncontrolled ways.
Our souls will express themselves wether we like it or not. Unexpressed energy takes forms that we are all very aware of. Anger, stress, depression, war. Hell on earth.
Creativity is power.
When we engage in an act of heartfelt creativity, we release energy.
We express our Souls.
We being to harness the subtle energies that surround us, permeate us, that we are part of. Some would say it is these subtle energies that God/the universe has used to create us. The breath of God breathed into Adams lungs is a beautiful picture of the indwelling spirit of God, and the subtle energies released in us.
An act of creativity is the tip of the iceberg of what we are capable of.
The book of Genesis also says we are made in the image of God. We too can release huge creative energy into our world.
Its what we were born to do.
Its what we are doing right now.
We are constantly expressing ourselves, we are constantly creating according to your inner image. The real question is, do you like what you are creating?
